DXR - AREV application software distributor

The DXR utility can be installed on any Advanced Revelation development instance to track all changes made to file data and/or dictionaries (using MFS technology) as selected by the developer. The version release procedure then builds a distribution directory of the entire application or just updates that have been made since the last full release. The directory contents are also copied to a zip archive which is named using the app version.

Although its primary purpose is to handle software distribution, DXR works equally well for batch data transfers.

The distribution package includes an AREV install executable which is run on target application instances. It maintains a log of all releases applied to the destination system. For functional details please see the DXR PDF overview.

DXR is compatible with all versions of DOS AREV from 1.1 through 3.12, plus AREV32.
